John Landry Founder and CEO
John Landry founded Electra in 1998 after developing software solutions which would become Electra Settlements and Electra Reconciliation. He has served as CEO ever since. Prior to this, he worked as a consultant in the financial industry for companies including Fischer Francis Trees & Watts, BEA Associates (now Credit Suisse), DTC (now DTCC), and Chase Manhattan Bank. John graduated summa cum laude from SUNY Albany in Economics and Computer Science.
Scott Rhodes Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Scott Rhodes joined Electra as COO in 2014 and served on the company’s board of directors for 10 previously. Prior to Electra, he was managing director of a hedge fund administrator, founded a technology company, and held executive positions at others. He has significant international business experience having conducted work in several European countries and Japan. Scott is a graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. He also completed graduate studies in High Energy Physics at Rutgers University.
Samantha Kafedzic Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Samantha (“Sam”) Kafedzic leads Electra’s finance operations and human resources. Previously, she was a VP of finance for JM Field Marketing. She has a Master of Science degree in Accounting from Martin J Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.
Jeff Alpher Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Jeff Alpher joined Electra in 1999, first as a developer and worked his way up to CTO. Previously, he worked as a consultant to Sprint, National Science Foundation, and JP Morgan, and worked for IBM prior to that. Jeff was an Echols Scholar and graduated with a general studies BA from University of Virginia.
Robert Cohen Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)
Robert Cohen joined Electra in 2010 as director of relationship management, then transitioned to Electra’s sales team. Prior to Electra, he held a variety of positions at financial and information technology firms where he held executive positions in strategic and global alliances, responsible for strategic and operational relationships with top-tier service providers. He also held various positions in business development and product management at Thomson Reuters. Mr. Cohen graduated from University of Rochester with a B.A. in Economics.
Jennifer McMackin Senior Vice President, Data & Managed Services
Jennifer McMackin has more than 18 years of experience in operations, technology and data management. She helps investment managers overcome the challenges of data aggregation and operations team productivity and efficiency. Her previous experience includes key positions at Axiom Investors and Mizuho. She earned her B.S. in Business from Long Island University, and Management Certification from Cornell University.
Paul Chung Senior Vice President, Client Services
Paul Chung is Electra’s senior vice president of client services and an experienced senior executive with a deep understanding of asset management, technology and customer service. Prior to joining Electra in 2016, he spent 17 years working in a variety of capacities across sales, consulting and relationship management in the fintech space. He is a graduate of Western University in London, Ontario.
Todd Sloan Senior Vice President, Business Development & Product Management
Todd Sloan drives Electra’s buy-side industry engagement and solution strategies. He joined Electra in 2003, becoming a chief visionary and architect of Electra Reconciliation overseeing its monumental evolution to an award-winning and best-of-breed platform. Todd is a results-driven executive who has spent more than 20 years helping the investment management community connect with automation in the areas of reconciliation and exception management workflow.
Ian Danic Executive Director
Ian Danic joined Electra in 1997 and is a member of the company’s board of directors. He previously held positions at Goldman Sachs, Swift, Reuters and a middleware company. Ian also was a board member of the International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication (ISITC) from 2007 to 2016. He graduated from Queens University (Kingston ON) with a B.A. in Political Studies and the Schulich School of Business at York University with an MBA.
